Fullerton scored shortly into the first quarter on a man-up opportunity, and continued to push hard against the Oxy defense throughout the game.

The Titan freshman played a key role throughout the game. Scott Richardson had 5 points on the day (3 G, 2 A), and Nick McClure had an assist. Goalie Ozhan Kaskooli had a great game with 19 saves on 24 shots on goal. Cal State Fullerton Welcomes New Head Coach
FULLERTON, CA -- The Cal State Fullerton Titans Lacrosse Team recently announced the appointment of new Head Coach Ryland Huyghue. Coach Huyghue brings over 37 years of lacrosse experience, both as a player and a coach, to the Titan Lacrosse organization.

Coach Huyghue has accumulated numerous awards and accolades since he began playing lacrosse at age seven. He attended Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington, New York, where he played lacrosse and was named a three-time first team All-American and three-time Most Valuable Player at the Long Island All Star Game. He was eventually inducted into his high school’s Hall of Fame in 1988. After high school, Huyghue attended Nassau Community College, where he helped win two national championships (being voted Most Valuable Player in both games) and was a two-time All-American. He continued playing lacrosse at the University of Maryland, where he completed his college career.

Since finishing college, Huyghue has been an integral part of numerous lacrosse organizations and teams across the country. He has played for the California All-Star Team, Long Island Lacrosse Club, Maryland Lacrosse Club, and Orange County Lacrosse Club. He was a club All-Star for 17 consecutive years and won four State Championships. Huyghue also played for Team California in the 1984 Olympics, and was an alternate for the USA World Team. He was the President and Founder of the Malibu Lacrosse Club, for which he also played and coached. Huyghue was also the President of the California Lacrosse Association for thirteen years.

Apart from lacrosse, Huyghue is also the Owner and Head Coach of the Southern California Wolverines, a minor league football team that plays in the California Football Association.

Lacrosse has given Coach Huyghue a lifetime of fun and long-lasting relationships, and he continues to give back to the sport what it has given to him. Coach Huyghue has also been the head coach for the UCLA, USC, Occidental, and Pepperdine lacrosse teams. He looks forward to bringing a "run-and-gun" offense and "pressure" defense to the CSUF Titans and having a successful 2008 season.
